Move & Groove

The ‘Move and Groove’ project focused on making transitions fun and enjoyable. This highly sustainable approach involved integrating gross motor activities with other developmental areas. It enhanced both the children’s locomotor skills and coordination and thinking skills. How will technology-enabled activities increase children's
interest in learning Chinese Language?

The children’s interest in learning the Chinese Language was further promoted through technology-enabled activities. The children brainstormed on their topics of interest and different activities. They researched on the selected topics
(e.g. how to generate electricity) and recorded their narratives using puppetry and stop motion. This increased the children’s confidence, curiosity, and strengthened their critical thinking, inquiry skills and Chinese Language skills.

Mud Café

This project was conceptualized from the idea of “MakerSpace”. It involved revamping an existing Mud Kitchen into a Mud Café that offers quality learning experiences for the children with opportunities to innovate and engage in divergent thinking. The outdoor play space was equipped with natural facilities and resources. The children personalized the Café with signages and developed a menu created from mud dishes and natural materials.

Roving Reporters @ 261

The Roving Reporters @ 261 project enabled children to assume various roles in an editorial team. They selected topics, had discussions, interviewed the community, carried out research, and contributed towards publication’s writing and illustrations. In all, 4 issues of the newsletter were produced and distributed to their peers and families. This boosted the children’s confidence as well as an interest in print media and current affairs.
